At Libas e Khas, free custom stitching is one of the services we're most proud of. Every outfit you order can be tailored to your exact measurements by our skilled artisans in Pakistan, ensuring a perfect fit before it reaches your doorstep. This policy explains how our stitching service works, what to expect, and what terms apply. Please read carefully before placing a stitched order.
1. How Our Stitching Service Works
Once you place a stitched order:
- Select your preferred size from the size chart at checkout, or choose "Custom Size" to provide your own measurements
- If you choose Custom Size, we will contact you via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours to collect your measurements
- Our tailors stitch your outfit based on the designer's original reference image
- Every finished garment is inspected before dispatch
- Your outfit is packaged with original designer tags and shipped to you via tracked courier
Typical stitching timeline is 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design, embellishments, and current workload.
2. Stitching Style & Design Standards
All stitched outfits follow the original designer's reference image shown on the product page. Our standard approach is:
Shirts & Tops
- Styled to closely match the displayed image from the designer
- All shirts include attached sleeves as standard — we do not stitch sleeveless versions
- Full-coverage inner lining to modestly cover the stomach, shoulders, and back
- Chiffon or net sleeve linings can be attached inside or provided separately upon written request
- Neckline, hemline, and silhouette follow the original designer reference
Trousers, Pants & Bottoms
- Stitched in the style shown in the product image (straight pants, sharara, gharara, palazzo, etc.)
- Length adjusted to the customer's measurements
- Standard waistbands with elastic unless otherwise specified
Dupattas
- Finished with elegant silk edging, lace borders, or as depicted in the product image
- Tassels, pom-poms, and finishing details applied per the designer's original specification
Embellishments & Handwork
- Applied as per the displayed design where possible
- Minor variations in bead, sequin, or stone colours may occur due to market availability — we will always source the closest available match
- Hand-embroidered and hand-embellished details are preserved from the original designer piece
Fabric Notes
All fabrics used in our stitching are of premium quality and non-absorbent where applicable, preserving the outfit's appearance and drape. Fabric composition is as described on the designer's original product listing.
3. Customisation Options
We offer the following customisation options at checkout or on request:
What We Can Customise
- Size — choose from our size chart or submit custom measurements
- Shirt length (longer or shorter within reasonable limits)
- Sleeve length (full, three-quarter, half — but always attached)
- Neckline depth and style (within modesty standards)
- Trouser length and fit
- Extra lining for sheer fabrics
- Modesty adjustments (raising low backs, adding sleeves to sleeveless designs, etc.)
What We Cannot Customise
- Colour changes — we stitch in the original designer colour only
- Fabric changes — we use the fabric provided by the designer
- Major design alterations that fundamentally change the garment
- Embellishment pattern changes (we follow the designer's original layout)
- Sleeveless versions (all our outfits include attached sleeves as standard)
All customisation requests must be submitted at the time of order or within 24 hours of placing the order. Requests made after production has begun cannot be accommodated.
4. Measurements
For Custom Size orders, accurate measurements are essential. We will request the following:
- Bust
- Waist
- Hips
- Shoulder width
- Shirt length (from shoulder to desired hemline)
- Sleeve length
- Armhole / bicep
- Trouser length (from waist to ankle)
- Trouser waistband
Customer Responsibility
It is the customer's responsibility to:
- Provide accurate measurements using a soft measuring tape
- Respond to our measurement requests promptly (within 48 hours)
- Double-check measurements before confirming them
- Review any photo or video guides we provide
We stitch strictly according to the measurements submitted. Claims arising from incorrect measurements provided by the customer cannot be entertained for refund or return.
Delays in providing measurements will automatically extend the stitching timeline — the responsibility for such delays lies with the customer.
5. Quality Assurance
Every stitched garment undergoes:
- Pre-stitching inspection of the fabric and embellishments
- Expert tailoring by our master artisans
- Final quality check measuring finished dimensions against customer specifications
- Packaging review with original designer tags applied
Since unstitched fabrics are supplied by designers without branded inner collar tags, we apply our own Libas e Khas collar label on stitched orders as a mark of quality assurance and traceability.
6. Returns & Refunds on Stitched Items
Stitched and custom-made outfits are exempt from standard distance selling rights under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Our Position
Stitched orders are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable unless:
- The outfit arrives visibly damaged (reported within 12 hours of delivery with clear photos)
- We have shipped the wrong item compared to what was ordered
- We have demonstrably stitched the outfit outside the customer-provided measurements

What Cannot Be Claimed
- Fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements provided by the customer
- Dissatisfaction with the stitching style where the outfit matches the designer's original reference
- Changes of mind after receiving a stitched garment
- Preference for modifications that were not requested at the time of order
- Natural variations in hand-embroidered or hand-embellished details (5%–10% tolerance applies)
7. Event Deadlines & Urgent Stitching
If your stitched order is for a specific event (wedding, Eid, engagement), please:
- Contact us before placing the order to confirm we can meet your deadline
- Provide measurements immediately upon ordering — ideally within 24 hours
- Respect any published event cutoff dates (e.g., Eid booking deadlines)
Orders placed close to or after our published event deadlines are processed at the customer's risk. No compensation is available if a rushed order does not arrive in time due to delays outside our control.
8. Alterations After Delivery
If you would like minor alterations after receiving your outfit, we recommend:
- Visiting a local tailor in your area for small tweaks (hem adjustments, minor waist/bust changes)
- Contacting us for guidance on whether the alteration is feasible on your specific outfit
Please note:
- Libas e Khas does not offer post-delivery alteration services at present
- Alteration costs are the responsibility of the customer
- Any alterations made by a third-party tailor will void future return eligibility on that garment
9. Color & Embellishment Tolerance
Pakistani designer stitching is a craft process. Please understand and accept that:
- Colours may vary by 5%–10% from on-screen images due to monitor calibration, lighting, and fabric dye lots
- Hand-applied embellishments may vary slightly in placement, density, or tone
- Substitute materials may be used if an exact bead, stone, or lace is unavailable — we always source the closest match
- Fabric drape and weight may vary subtly within natural materials such as raw silk, organza, chiffon, and net
These variations are part of the nature of handcrafted Pakistani couture and are not grounds for a return claim.
10. Modesty & Religious Adjustments
We understand many of our customers request modifications for modesty or religious reasons. We are happy to accommodate:
- Raising low necklines or backs
- Adding sleeves to sleeveless designs
- Extending shirt length for fuller coverage
- Adding inner lining to sheer or semi-sheer fabrics
- Adjusting slit heights on shararas, ghararas, or pishwas designs
Please mention modesty-related requests in the order notes or contact us on WhatsApp before placing the order. There is no additional charge for these adjustments.
